Connect Trello to your Dropbox account

To connect Trello to your Dropbox account:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Click App Center from the menu that appears.
  4. Click Trello.
    • If you don't see Trello, use the App Center search bar.
  5. Click Connect, and follow the prompts.

Attach files and folders to Trello cards from Dropbox

To add a file or folder to Trello from dropbox.com:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click All files in the left sidebar.
  3. Hover over the name of the file or folder and click the check box that appears on the left.
  4. Click the arrow next to Share below the file thumbnail in the right sidebar.
  5. Click Trello.
    • If you have not connected Trello to your Dropbox account, follow the prompts to sign in to Trello
  6. Hover over the Trello card you’d like to add it to, and click Attach.
    • Click Your cards to search cards you’re a member of or All cards to search all cards you have access to
    • Click the card to see card details
    • Click Create new card to add a file to a new Trello card

To add a file to Trello from the Dropbox desktop app:

  1. Click the file you’d like to add to Trello.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Click Trello.
    • If you have not connected Trello to your Dropbox account, follow the prompts to sign in to Trello
  4. Navigate to the Trello card you’d like to add it to and click Attach.
    • Click Your cards to search cards you’re a member of or All cards to search all cards you have access to
    • Click the card to see card details
    • Click Create new card to add a file to a new Trello card

Disconnect Dropbox from Trello

To disconnect Trello from your Dropbox account:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or face icon) in the upper right corner.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click the Connected apps tab.
  5. Click Trello.
  6. Click Disconnect.

Dropbox features in Trello

In order to enable the features listed below, you need to be signed in to Dropbox in the same browser as Trello and have the Dropbox Power-Up. Within Trello you can:

  • Attach Dropbox files and folders to cards
  • See rich thumbnails and previews of Dropbox attachments
  • Create shared links to Dropbox attachments with one-click
  • Open Dropbox files in their native applications
