VMware, an expert in x86 virtualization—that is, the ability to run one or more x86 operating systems as “guests” under a “host” x86 operating system —has released Fusion 1.0, its first OS X. VMware Fusion, which uses a combination of paravirtualization and hardware virtualization made possible by the Mac transition to Intel processors in 2006, marked VMware's first entry into Macintosh-based x86 virtualization. VMware Fusion uses Intel VT present in the Intel Core microarchitecture platform. VMware Fusion vs. Parallels Desktop #1 choice of Mac users for over 14 years; Industry-leading graphics performance; 10x faster working with Mac files in Windows; Supports more computers and macOS versions; Much easier to set up and use; Includes Parallels Toolbox to boost productivity.
